Here is a picture of Johnny Ace backing up one of the all time blues greats: John Lee Hooker! This picture was taken by David Fenton at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival in 1973--the man's leg in the background probably belongs to John Leslie who was part of the band that Ace was in--The Brooklyn Blues Buster's. They backed up many of the greats that came through New York City like Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Freddy King, etc.
